never mistake that Dean turns around because future!dean wasn’t pointing at him. The camera fucking goes from blurry to clear and they show a Dean reaction shot. That is the exact moment when Dean found out that he and Cas in the future had a sexual relationship. He probably had high suspicions when he saw Cas but that (and the conversation that follows) seals it for him. 

That is why he he says “send you friends to die…and Cas too” because he knew that Cas was and has always been more than a friend and he for sure knew that he was more than a friend to future!dean.

Usually I’d say this is reading to far into it, but knowing the dialogue between all of the character this could very much be the case.

There are some gifsets on here that, as much as I love, have been fitted together not quite how they actually are on the show BUT THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM.

If the line wasn’t a referring to Cas not 2009!Dean then why the fuck did they shoot it like this!?

The pan, then blur, then clear shot is a storytelling technique in film. If this wasn’t what they were trying to tell us, then somebody royally fucked up. The camera man, the director, the editor, and everyone between filming and airing.

What I’m saying is that this was on purpose. We were supposed to see it this way. Because no mistake this big makes it through all of those steps.

The only interpretation that makes the scene make sense is that future!Dean tries to explain the presence of a clone of himself saying that it’s a kinky thing between him and Cas.
